Summarising 2012

A Brief Summary of 2012 – The Year of the London Olympics.

Although I didn’t get any tickets to the Olympics, I thoroughly enjoyed watching them on the TV at home. My favourites were the Gymnastics and Equestrian events. One of my Uncles was a volunteer, a Games Maker, for the London Olympics and we looked out for him on the TV – but no luck, we didn’t see him.

He had great fun helping to look after the Australian Team. One of his jobs was to drive them around in the special Olympic BMW cars. Later in the year he was invited to attend the ‘Sports Personality of the Year’ TV show on the BBC, along with a crowd of other Games Makers. We didn’t see him this time either!

I have completed My Bronze YELA Award now and I have a certificate and badge!

In September I started year 10 at my school, KGGS, which was quite scary because it’s the start of the 2 year run up to my GCSE’s. However I am settling in well and I am confident for my exams. I have two core science exams in May and June this year but the rest of them are next year.

I was lucky enough to get tickets to see Ed Sheeran on Halloween at the Capital FM arena in Nottingham. I went with my friend Lydia and it was great fun! I found this video of one of his numbers. The quality isn’t amazing but it brings back great memories.
